Inbal Mandelker, President (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class 2017)
Inbal received her B.A. from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in both Business Management and Psychology. She is a consumer driven marketing and brand strategist who, for the past four years, worked as a Marketing and Strategic Research Analyst at McCann, Tel Aviv and a freelance marketing consultant in New York. Following her graduation from the social and consumer psychology program, she hopes to continue creating consumer driven business and marketing strategies.
Mara Kaufman (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class 2017)
Mara graduated from Colgate University in 2008 with a bachelors degree in psychology. For the last seven years she worked as a television media buyer at two global agencies in NYC, and also spent a year working in Sydney, Australia. Although she enjoyed her work, she realized that her passion lies in learning about consumer behavior and the psychological aspects of marketing and advertising. She hopes to pursue a career in market research or consumer insights after graduating from the social and consumer psychology program in May 2017.
Sonam Khubani (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class of 2017)
Sonam obtained her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Miami, minoring in Entrepreneurship and Art. As an undergraduate, she worked in a Couples Therapy Research Laboratory, testing the effectiveness of a web-based intervention program for married couples. After graduating she worked in marketing at Merrill Lynch, New York and at a private art gallery, Chowaiki & Company. She is currently obtaining her M.A. in Social and Consumer Psychology to gain a deeper understanding of the field and potentially pursue a career in marketing or advertising.
Emily Turk (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class of 2017)
Emily received her Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Supply Chain Management from the University of Maryland. However she always had an interest in psychology, so after living in Washington, DC for a couple of years she moved to New York with the intention of going back to school to study psychology. She is now in her first year of NYU’s Masters in Psychology program, focusing on Social and Consumer Psychology. She also work full time at Axis Promotions, a promotional products distribution company in midtown Manhattan.
Brian Armstrong (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A., class of 2017)
After graduating from Xavier University with an International Business degree, Brian worked for a few years in sales and marketing in the software industry before deciding to pursue grad school at NYU. He is looking to use his Consumer Psychology degree for brand strategy or marketing consulting.
Shuling Chen (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class of 2017)
Shuling graduated from Stony Brook University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Psychology and a Minor in Environmental Engineering. Before joining NYU, she worked as a psychology research assistant in Boston for two years. With this degree, she hopes to develop a career in consumer psychology and is actively searching for opportunities in market research or brand strategy.
