Diogo Koch Alves, President (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class 2019)
Diogo received his B.A. from NYU in Psychology in Economics and his M.S. from Northwestern University in Integrated Marketing Communications. After graduating from Northwestern, he worked at J. Walter Thompson for a year as an Account Associate before enrolling in NYU’s M.A. in Psychology program, specializing in Social and Consumer Psychology. Following his graduation from the Psychology program, he hopes to continue doing research with consumer psychology in a doctoral program in marketing.
Devon Bottomley, Vice President (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class 2019)
Brittany Burgeson O’Duffy (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class of 2020)
English and Psychology graduate from the University of Notre Dame, Britt worked as a Research Analyst in advertising effectiveness at Nielsen, then as a Senior Account Executive in Ogilvy’s Research & Intelligence practice. Currently, she is a Senior Manager at 1000heads, a social media advertising agency, leading Insights reporting for the Microsoft brand strategy account. Britt’s “academic” interests include: consumer decision making, group dynamics, pop culture, emerging technology, the narrative self, contemporary literature, puns, and cats.
Heather Riess (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class of 2019)
Heather graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. Following school, she pursued a career in media buying for several years before deciding to return to NYU in an effort to combine her interests in psychology and business. Following graduation, Heather is looking to continue working with market research and consumer insights.
Joanna Yang (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A., class of 2019)
Joanna received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from University of East Anglia. She worked in education for a few years before pursuing her Master’s degree at NYU. After graduating from the SCP program, she aims to develop a career in marketing or brand strategy.
Sandrine Martin (Social and Consumer Psychology M.A, class of 2019)
Sandrine holds a trilingual bachelor of commerce degree from HEC Montreal, Canada. As an undergraduate, she studied marketing in Singapore, Panama and Chile, and became very interested to learn about consumer attitudes in various geographic and cultural contexts. Sandrine worked for three years as an Account Manager at lg2, a Canadian advertising agency, before deciding to pursue her graduate studies at NYU. After graduating, she plans to work in market research and brand consulting.
